After seeing all the food blogger buzz about Beaucoup Bakery in Kitsilano, I had to stop in to see what all the excitement was about.
It was a pretty busy weekend afternoon, and we staked a claim on the last empty table in place.
I ordered a cup of tea and a tropical scone
This is a fabulous scone. It’s flaky and rich, lightly crunchy on the edges, loaded with pineapple chunks, shredded coconut, and studded with white chocolate.
My companion ordered a coffee and the chausson au pommes.
This pastry is light and flaky, and filled with caramelized apple slices.
The pastries here are excellent, but certainly are priced accordingly.
The room/ambiance is small and fairly stark, rather industrial.
